I've got a few things that define me I make bad jokes with awful timing I'm not young anymore but I'm trying To get my shit gathered without whining I can't get out of my head Can't stop overthinking or take a breath Just can't get out of my head Since when did all of my decisions Become the last I'll ever make I don't need anyone's opinion I'm gonna learn from my mistakes This second-guessing is my second-nature Wish I could stop this disgusting behavior I'm feeling guilty, so fucking anxious Close my eyes let it all just slip away
2.
Broken Hands 03:51
So here we are Guiding ships by shooting stars Passing in the night Petrified that we'll lock eyes They'll see through this disguise and know That it's all a lie, it's all a show Just a distorted voice breaking through a beat-up radio Come on, let's go Only broken hands can hold callous hearts We hold false perceptions of who we are All the masks we wear and all the pretty crowns Won't be needed if the walls come down Go ahead and fight it like a demon No battle's won without a little bleeding Sparked by a frantic fever dream, incite yourself You're not alone, I know it feels sometimes You want to hide and block out the shine Abandon illusions of your useless pride, despite yourself Down, down we go Down together Down in smoke

Well, I remember the time we jumped that fence I scraped my knee, you ripped your pants Fueled by chemicals and new love We're gonna show the dead what we're made of Shake them from their ice cold slumber To enjoy the last warm night of the summer The night started out at a punk rock show We blew a couple drinks and downed a bag of blow Got dirty on the car ride back home The driver pretended, but he had to know Told him to kill the meter, that's when things got blurry But I recall a romantic romp through the cemetery So, if we never grow old We can stay young here together Never gonna be told Just how this story ends Together we'll be brave What is strong can never break Take my hand, we'll walk through this life together I'm feeling haunted Like a song getting stuck in your head It's choking me and I can barely breath If this is the way we go, it's the way to go A splendid, happy death Entangled in the bonds of eternety
4.
Tiny Fingers 02:57
He can fuck things up by lifting up his tiny little fingers Let's take the streets, let's start a fight Through fascist ties, he'll lead us to an end of civil rights Narcasistic fucking troglodyte Where's the empathy where do we go from here Where's the hope we held so dear Stand up You've got a voice, be loud and don't back down It's life and death, no time for rest, let's make a raucous sound Gotta make it known we won't condone the actions of a tyrant Protest their war chest motives, by means of Molotov riots Dear Mr. President We are not who you represent You couldn't be more disconnected Policies based on faith Now you're putting up walls to keep us safe We've never felt more unprotected Where's the empathy where do we go from here Where's the hope we held so dear Why can't we just hold ourselves to a higher standard? It seems our moral compass is abandoned Fuck it all, bombs away!
5.
Oh my god, I can't feel a fucking thing I bet you'd laugh, yeah I bet you'd stare You're pointing out blame without taking your share Directing guilt squarely on me, oh my god I can barely breathe, I still can't feel a thing So, you left 'cause you never got your way Packed up your bags, fled without a trace Can't get your fill since your first fucking taste Ignoring my pleas, my begging to stay You turned up tail to hide lies on your face, a shaming disgrace Is this a way to mask all of your fears? A clever disguise draped around your ears Never wanted you as an enemy Yeah, every now and then, we'd disagree About subtleties we'd find, but surely knew they'd mend in time If you wanted to be a friend to me Why'd you seek out some sort of victory Falling short and blaming those that had your back and loved you most Every first take can't turn out the way you want You might not get every little thing you need But if you just kick back and have some fun Breath, relax, you're not the only one who's overthinking Oh my god, Here we go again, another accident I knew I I should have known better, but oh my god
6.
It's not the long, flowing dress that you're in Or the light coming off of your skin The fragile heart you protected for so long Or the mercy in your sense of right and wrong It's not your hands searching slow in the dark Or your nails leaving love's watermark It's not the way you talk me off the roof Your questions like directions to the truth It's knowing that this can't go on forever Likely one of us will have to spend some days alone Maybe we'll get forty years together But one day I'll be gone Or one day you'll be gone If we were vampires and death was a joke We'd go out on the sidewalk and smoke And laugh at all the lovers and their plans I wouldn't feel the need to hold your hand Maybe time running out is a gift I'll work hard 'til the end of my shift And give you every second I can find And hope it isn't me who's left behind
